Refugee Help

I am because we are

Beyond celebrating our shared heritage and traditions, we are committed to helping our fellow South Africans as they settle into their new lives in America. In partnership with N.I.C.E., our members have rallied together to welcome newly arrived South African refugees by providing culturally familiar meals, furniture, household essentials, transportation, and ongoing practical support. What began as a desire to help our fellow South Africans find their feet has become a meaningful expression of ubuntu in action. We are deeply grateful to be in a position to give back, helping our fellow South Africans feel welcomed, supported, and at home in the city we are proud to call ours.
